STRIKE CALLED OFF AS IMO PETROLEUM TANKER DRIVERS ASSOCIATION RESOLVE WITH GOVERNMENT

Imo state chapter of the PETROLEUM TANKER DRIVERS ASSOCIATION has resolved with the Imo state government to stop all strikes and resume sales at the approved 165 NAIRA.

This was the outcome of the union’s meeting with the Imo state government where leaders of the group featured in their official numbers at Government House Owerri.

Addressing the union, the governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma has assured them of maximum co-operation and charged them to go back to the market and resume sale Immediately.

Matters in discussion anchored on the demolition of petrol stations, revenue collection, activities of OCDA, ENTRACO and IMSSA.

Other matters resolved included Immediate call off of tanker driver’s strike and the revert to the original pump price of 165 Naira per liter.

The agreement established by both parties was signed by the 7-man panel from the government side and 8-exco members of the petroleum marketers and tanker drivers’ association, Imo state.

Petroleum sales at 165 with Immediate effect as agreed upon.
