Nollywood veteran and comic actor, Chief Chiwetalu Agu has been reportedly beaten up, molested and arrested by Nigerian soldiers who haggled with him allegedly for wearing a dress made in Biafran colours.
In a viral video shared on the 9News Nigeria Global WhatsApp forum, Chief Chiwetalu Agu was accosted by the Nigerian soldiers and ordered out of his Film Industry van before he was later harassed, dragged on the road and carried away by the soldiers.
The soldiers fired some gunshots to scare away the people that were gathering around the scene and took Chief Chiwetalu Agu away to a yet to be confirmed location.
As of the time of this report, 9News Nigeria Anambra State correspondent has not been able to confirm the whereabouts of Chief Chiwetalu Agu.
It has not been duly confirmed if actually, the reason for the harassment and arrest was due to the Biafran flag dress he was wearing at the time of the incident.
