The age-old notion that there is no road leading to Arochukwu that is convenient to travel through is bound to change, as the Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has vowed to change that narrative if elected into office.
Chief Kalu gave the assurance yesterday at Ihechiowa in Arochukwu L.G.A. while rounding off his ward-to-ward campaign in the area.
The APP governorship candidate, who had difficulties in accessing the Okpo community in Ihechiowa and other parts of the town because of the deplorable conditions of the roads, said that the negative narrative of jolty roads leading to Arochukwu L.G.A. will be changed by his administration, noting that after his tenure as governor, such difficulties will become things of the past.
The APP campaign train visited five (5) ABSIEC wards in Ihechiowa—Eluoha wards 4, 3, 2, and 1; and Ikwun ward 2.
Rt. Hon. Prince Arua Arunsi and Hon. Nnaemeka Otti, the APP’s candidates for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal House of Representatives and Arochukwu State House Assembly, respectively, were part of the campaign. Other relevant chieftains of the party that joined the campaign train included: Comr. Chukwu Ndem, State Vice Chairman; Comr. Emeka Adile, State Administrative Secretary; Pst. Okey Umezie; Mr. Aladdin Ukoha, etc.
