Abuja-based Afro-Trap rapper, Kenzzydayo is doing the dash as the new way of music for a new generation of African rap artists and fans.
In his interview with a correspondent, Kazeem Kamal Fatai known by his music name, Kenzzydayo, discusses his decision to drop an EP.
Kenzzydayo says he has always seen music as a means of expression rather than futile actions. “Music is all about expression. If you’re angry, rap about it, if you’re disappointed, rap about it and if it’s the excitement you feel, rap it hard,” Kenzzydayo said.
When asked if rap would be rated like Afrobeats in Africa now or in the future, the Rapper stressed that Africans enjoy vibing.
“Afrobeats has a vibe Nigerians love and tap into, but as for rap, it’s outstanding. It’s more like a craft on its own.
I don’t really know about ratings but as my Co-artist, Hulio said, do what others are scared of and see where it takes you”.
The Rapper dropped an EP soon and has obliged all his fans that his lyrics and messages won’t disappoint.
