Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has flagged off the second phase of Conditional Cash Transfer Programme for 6,000 vulnerable citizens who will collect N7,000 monthly stipends for the next 24 months.
Governor Sule , while flagging off the second phase of the exercise tagged “Kudin A A Sule’ on Tuesday in Lafia, Nasarawa State, explained that the only aim was to improve on the standard of living of the widows, the aged and the orphans among other less privileged persons in the state.
Sule said his administration has decided to increase the monthly stipends from N5000 to N7000 in the second phase of the programme owing to the present economic reality in the country.
Governor Sule also said that the Conditional Cash Transfer Initiative by his administration has afforded the beneficiaries to pool their resources thereby investing in business that would change their lives positively.
He said the beneficiaries would receive receive two months’ stipends once, so as to help in investing wisely in their businesses.
