Renowned Nigerian highlife singer, Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, has lost his father, Elder Onyemaechi Okoli.
This was disclosed by the Ijele titleholder via his X handle, stating that his father died on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
“My father, Ijele’s (his nickname) father, rest well. God gave and God has taken.” Flavour wrote in Igbo.
The family is yet to announce the funeral schedule for the deceased.
Flavour is a Nigerian singer currently signed to 2nite Entertainment. He is best known for his hit song Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix).
Flavour is also popular for his ability to sing fluently in the Igbo language.
