Dr. Hassan Gimba, publisher of Neptune Prime newspapers has commissioned a cancer center and two other projects in Yobe State.
The event took place Saturday, which coincided with the wedding fatiha of his son, Barrister Suleiman Gimba.
This however, is following the disclosure of his plan in a latter sent to newsmen last week.
Gimba also commissioned two other projects, a school and foundation for late journalists’ families.
All the three projects were commissioned in his hometown, Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe.
The cancer clinic is the first private cancer center in the state, a significant development for the region, providing much-needed access to cancer care for residents of Yobe and will be the first private center in the state.
Though Yobe State has public hospitals and healthcare facilities, including the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu, there is no any private cancer center until now.
