Kwara TESCOM Opens Application Portal For Teaching Jobs

Teacher Impacting Knowledge In Class

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, on Tuesday has released the application link for its teaching jobs.

This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin by the commission’s Chairman, Mallam Abubakar, as he encouraged interested and qualified applicants to apply through www.tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng.

He said the portal would, however, go live at 12.00 a.m. on Wednesday and close on February 14, 2025, using the opportunity to task applicants to carefully read through the portal for guidance on the process, stressing that they should read the press statement initially issued on the recruitment process.

“Applicants who meet the first-layer recruitment criteria will be invited for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at centres closest to their local government of residence.

“After the test, successful candidates will undergo drug tests at approved NDLEA centres among other verification exercises that will precede the issuance of employment letters.

“This process, for the record, will strongly balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in the hinterlands/rural areas, where we mostly require teachers,” Abubakar said.

The chairman, however, stated that those without university degrees in relevant subject areas should not apply, noting that NCE holders without university degrees should not also apply.
