Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, has marked her third anniversary in the Senate by distributing smart devices, including laptop computers, to selected secondary schools in her district.
The intervention took place in Monday, November 2, 2026. She visited OCSS Oboroke, Adavi Model Secondary School in Obangede, all in Kogi State.
According to a statement issued by her media aide, Mike Idoko on Tuesday, the initiative is aimed at promoting digital learning and improving students’ access to educational resources.

Speaking during the presentation, Akpoti-Uduaghan said effective representation goes beyond occupying political offices or making speeches at the National Assembly, stressing that it should translate into meaningful improvements in people’s lives.
She described education as one of the most important investments in society’s future, adding that access to technology would provide students with opportunities for learning, innovation and personal development.
“Education remains one the most important investments we can make in the future of our society. These smart devices are not merely computers, they are instruments of opportunity, learning, innovation and empowerment. I want our children to understand that their geographical location should never limit their access to knowledge or their aspirations in life.
“As we mark three years in office, I remain conscious of the responsibility that comes with the mandate you have given me. I will continue to do everything within my capacity to ensure that Kogi Central receives quality representation and benefits from meaningful developmental interventions”, she said.

The senator urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the laptops, embrace digital literacy and remain committed to their studies.
She called on teachers and school administrators to ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and its use strictly for educational purposes.
The senator, elected at the 10th National Assembly, highlighted her constituency development efforts in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment and economic development.
In the health sector, she had advocated for the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre in Ihima through Senate Bill 521, aimed at improving access to specialist medical services in Kogi Central and neighbouring communities.
