
A prominent leader of the Fulani pastoralists in Nigeria, Dr. Abdullahi Badejo, has been conferred with the traditional title of Sarkin Fulani Hausa.
Badejo, was conferred with the traditional title by the Emir of Daura, HRH Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar , a revered traditional ruler in Katsina State, Northwest Nigeria.
A Fulani youth leader, Ambassadors Mohammed Tasiu Suleiman, announced the conferment of the title in a Facebook post on Wednesday night.
Suleiman, who hails from Nasarawa Toto Local Government, Nasarawa State, stated that the date for the turbaning ceremony will be announced in due course.
Badejo is also the National President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio Cultural Organization.
