

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who became a household name as Theo Huxtable in The Cosby Show, has died at 54 after an accidental drowning off Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast.
According to reports Warner passed away on Sunday while vacationing in Costa Rica.
Authorities confirmed that the actor drowned while swimming at Playa Cockles in the Limon Province.
He was reportedly swept away by a strong ocean current between 2:00 and 2:30p.m. local time.
Despite being rescued by beach goers and receiving immediate medical attention from the Costa Rican Red Cross, Warner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Costa Rican Judiciary Investigation Agency issued a statement confirming the tragic incident.
Warner rose to fame as a teenager in 1984. He portrayed Theo, the only son of Bill Cosby’s character, though the show’s successful run until 1992, During the time, Warner also made guest appearances on Sesame Street, A Different World, and even hosted Saturday Night Live. His appearance earn him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1986.
Known for keeping his personal life out of the spotlight, Warner is survived by his wife and daughter, who was born in 2017. Though he occasionally shared glimpses of them on social media, he kept their identities private.
