Former Attorney General Abubakar Malami has confirmed he will contest the 2027 governorship election in Kebbi State. He said he has the support of the people and is committed to rescuining the state from insecurity and economic hardship.
The former Attorney General criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for policies that hurt farmers and local industries, saying rice mills have closed due to foreign competition. He vowed to revive agriculture and restore safety.
Dismissing claims of personal interest, Malami insisted his ambition stems from a desire to “protect the interests of Kebbi people” and deliver a better future.
