Tragedy struck on Friday after a metro train reportedly hit and killed a woman identified as Salamatu Ahmed at Bukuru Terminal in Plateau State.

According toeye witness, the deceased was hit while attempting to board the moving train at the busy Bukuru Terminal and died on the spot.

Nasiru Alhaji Baba Tsoho who witnessed the tragic scene, and told reporters that the incident happened while the train was already in motion.

He said the deceased had attempted to jumped inside the moving train but missed her steps. And was hit by the train, killing her on the spot.

“The incident happened while the train was already in motion as the deceased attempted to enter it. She was hit by the train and died on the spot”, Tsoho said.

Security personnel and emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident, while authorities have secured the area and commence investigations to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
