The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee for the Rivers State House of Assembly chaired by Rt. Hon. Muraina Ajibola has cleared 33 aspirants and disqualifying 65 during its two-day exercise held on May 9 and 10, 2026.

The committee received and evaluated a total of 98 aspirants at the State Secretariat in Port Harcourt. While the exercise was generally orderly, it was marked by some alleged bribery attempt and security friction.

The 33 aspirants who were successful and eligible to participate in the upcoming primaries are:

A total of 65 aspirants failed to meet the requirements for reasons including invalid affidavits, conflicting dates of birth, and purchase of nomination forms by non-financial members.
