
Troops of Sector 7 of Operation Enduring Peace have intercepted six suspected terrorists’ logistics suppliers travelling in Jos-Minna bound vehicles, recovering seven firearms and arresting all the suspects during a stop-and-search operation in Kaduna State.
The suspects were intercepted at the Samaru checkpoint in Zonkwa District of Zongon Kataf Local Government Area at about 9:40a.m on Monday July 13.

According to the statement, the suspects were traveling in an ash-coloured Mercedes-Benz with registration number EDO GUE-722- LV from Jos, Plateau State, to Minna, Niger State, when troops intercepted and searched the vehicle.
Captain Polycarp Oteh said the suspects allegedly confessed they were traveling from Jos to Niger State. He said items recovered from the vehicle included three AK-47 rifles, four sub-machine guns and the Mercedes-Benz used for the trip.
The military spokesman further disclosed that one of the suspects attempted to flee during the operation but was immediately subdued. He said the suspect sustained injuries, is in stable condition and is cooperating with investigators.

Captain Oteh added that the arrested suspects and the recovered exhibits are currently in military custody for detailed interrogation and further intelligence exploitation.
He reaffirmed that Operation Enduring Peace remains committed to sustaining offensive operations aimed at disrupting terrorist logistics networks and denying criminal groups freedom of action within its area of responsibility.
