- Ebonyi-Lagos passenger bus reportedly involved in fatal Ogun crash

IJEBU-ODE, OGUN STATE — Tragedy has reportedly struck the busy Ijebu-Ode axis of Ogun State after a GUO Transport bus travelling from Ebonyi State towards Lagos was involved in a fatal road crash on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Initial reports circulating early Thursday indicated that several passengers may have lost their lives in the crash, while others were reportedly injured. However, the exact number of fatalities and the circumstances surrounding the accident had not been officially confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Police Command or GUO Transport as of the time of filing this report.
The reported accident has triggered fresh concern over the safety of passengers travelling along the Lagos-Ore corridor, one of the country’s major inter-state transportation routes.
