Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said he will not support Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, in his reported ambition to become President of the Senate.
Wike made the comments on Monday, while speaking about Uzodinma’s political plans, noting that the Imo governor emerged from fourth position to become governor.
“Hope Uzodinma became a governor from fourth position. His term will expire by January to February 2028. Now, he wants to leave his office to run for senator. He wants to run for Senate President,” Wike said.
He added that he would not support Uzodinma’s bid, saying, “Life or death, I will never support a character like Hope Uzodinma to be Senate President.”
