Justice Peter Lifu, in a judgment, also invalidated the decision is taken by the party under Mark-led leadership.
Justice Lifu declared as illegal the Mark-led Caretaker Committee, which conducted the primary election that produced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 presidential election.
The judge ruled in favour of former ADC National Deputy Chairman, North East, Nafiu Bala-Gombe, who challenged the process through which the Mark- led leadership assumed control of the party.
The ruling followed a suit filed by Gombe, who challenged the process through which Senator David Mark and his team assumed control of the party.
Gombe argued that following the resignation of former National Chairman, Chief Ralph Nwosu, the was constitutionally entitled to take the party’s leadership.
