Suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly murdered Dr. Fatai Aborode on his farm at Igangan area of Oyo State.

Aborode was Accord House of Representatives’ candidate for Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central federal constituency in the 2015 election.

According to multiple reports, the murder took place on Friday morning.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident in a text message sent to the 9news on Saturday in Ibadan.

The PPRO confirmed that the deceased was robbed and shot by four unknown gunmen at about 5.50 p.m.

9news gathered that the former Accord member who, as at the time of his death, had become a PDP chieftain, was the Chief Executive Officer of Kunfayakun Green Treasures Limited.
