The political landscape of Ezinihitte Mbaise has received a significant boost as Ambassador Uchechi Stella Nwankwo, a seasoned administrator and diplomat, officially declared her intention to represent the constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.
In a move that has sent ripples of excitement through her home base, Amb. Nwankwo, who currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President, has formally picked up her Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
Her entry into the race is widely seen as a game-changer, bringing a blend of federal-level experience and local grassroots passion to the legislative contest.
Speaking shortly after obtaining her forms, Amb. Nwankwo emphasized that her decision to run was born out of a deep-seated desire to bridge the gap between the people of Ezinihitte Mbaise and the dividends of democracy.

Political analysts suggest that Nwankwo’s current role in the Office of the Deputy Senate President gives her a distinct edge. Having operated at the highest levels of the National Assembly, she possesses an intimate understanding of legislative processes, budget lobbying, and constituency project facilitation.
