Akinlade Commissions ICT Building, Donates Generator, N1m to Ado Odo Palace

The Federal Commissioner, representing Ogun State at the Federal Character Commission, Abuja, Honourable Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade has  marked his 54th birthday celebration with another milestone of  humanitarian projects  by commissioning a well-equiped ICT Building,  with a power generating set and  computers. 


The celebrant in his speech spoke about service to humanity which he said is the only way to appreciate God’s blessings on ones life. “Ones birthday is a period of sober reflection. It is a period to reflect and give thanks to Almighty Allah for his goodness as we come to this world with nothing and we will go back to Almighty Allah with nothing, the only thing that will be left for us is what we are able to do positively to affect  humanity while alive” he said’.


In an atmosphere filled with joy and celebration, the entire sons and daughters of Ado-odo township  were so delighted for the great gesture from  their kinsman and  beloved  son, who provided them access to  Information Communication technology (ICT) which in the long-term afford them to bridge the gap between them and technology world.


While fulfilling his pledge of cash donation towards the refurbishment of the Ado Odo Palace,  Akinlade at the foundation laying of the palace pledged to support the building project with the sum of N1m. He, however, fulfilled the promise by donating the sum of one million naira to the development of Ado-odo palace. 

Speakers at the events congratulated the celebrant who they said has always been in the habit of not marking his birthday by funfare but by ensuring that his communities enjoyed one or two critical developmental support in terms of projects and empowerment.


The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ado-Odo Local Government chapter applauded Akinlade Youth Employment and Developmental Drive by facilitating employment opportunities for hundreds of youth in Ogun West and beyond.


Dignitaries who graced the special occasion includes HRM Oba Abdul-Lateef Akanni (Ologun Adimula of Ado Odo), Former Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon.(Mrs) Juliana Akintayo, Alhaja M.A. Aliu Woman leader, Ogun State All Progressives Congress, Mrs Adeosun, the secretary of Ipokia LGA. Others include, Hon. Ayedogbon: Secretary, Yewa South LGA, Hon. Patrick Samuel, The Abiodun Akinlade Group among others.


The ICT building was thereafter commissioned by his HRH Oba Abdulateef Akanni with a charge by the Ado Odo people to put the facility in best use to attract more in future.
