The Eyewitness Network, a national support group for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, has joined forces with the Akwa Ibom Christian Embassy (AKICEM) to support the President’s second-term bid.
The partnership follows AKICEM’s decision to dissolve its structure into the Eyewitness Network as part of efforts to mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The announcement was made during AKICEM’s monthly general meeting held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Monday.
AKICEM President, Apostle Peters Udoh, said the organisation, founded in 2018, has branches across Akwa Ibom State and over 3,000 members.
He explained that the decision to merge with the Eyewitness Network was reached after the group reviewed the Network’s activities and commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s administration.
Udoh described AKICEM as a faith-based prayer network dedicated to praying for the All Progressives Congress (APC), its leaders and governments at different levels.
He said the organisation has consistently prayed for the success of the APC and the Akwa Ibom State Government and is now ready to extend the same support towards Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
According to him, the Eyewitness Network offers a credible platform for Nigerians who believe in the continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the country’s development.
Responding, the National Secretary of the Eyewitness Network, Dr. Saviour Ekpe, thanked the leadership and members of AKICEM for joining the movement.
Ekpe assured the new members that their confidence would not be misplaced, adding that the Network remains committed to building a broad coalition of Nigerians in support of President Tinubu’s leadership and development agenda.
