The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the commencement of online accreditation for journalists and media organisations interested in covering the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, on Monday, the election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The statement read, “The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced online accreditation for journalists and media organisations intending to cover the Anambra State governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, 8th November, 2025.”
Media organisations intending to deploy personnel for election coverage are required to submit their applications through the official INEC accreditation portal at https://imap.inecnigeria.org.
The accreditation portal opens on Monday, September 1, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 24, 2025.
“Late submission shall not be entertained as the portal will automatically shut down at 12:00 am (midnight) on Friday, 24th October, 2025. For further enquiries, please contact: 07088844564 & 08032861058,” the statement added.
