The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra state chapter has been regrettably relegated from the opposition standpoint in the political atmosphere in the state.
They now play politics of “sit don dey look” as if they are the ruling Party where one either sits and acts as if things are going well at all times just to get a meal ticket.
For some months today, despite the irregularities and ineptitudes of the APGA led government in the state, the PDP Anambra state chapter has failed to provide an opposing voice that sounds and stands as a means of hope for ‘NDI ANAMBRA,’ even at this time of the upcoming 2021 gubernatorial elections in Anambra state.
Most atimes, one wonders if things are actually going well in the interest of the people in this current government led by the APGA , weighing the continual silence enveloping the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state that grows higher, higher and higher by day.
Though it is a glaring fact that the APGA led government has failed the people of the state in delivering the dividends of democracy to the common man in the street of Anambra, which has caused escalation in the high rate of social vices, crime and immeasurable hardship, yet there is no checks and balances on the incumbent government.
My expectations from the PDP Anambra state to serve as a watch dog to the Chief Willie Obiano failed government, and also to serve as the voice of the voiceless, is far from being achieved as they apparently appear to me as the most unprepared party for the soon coming 2021 gubernatorial battle in the expectation of restoring confidence back to the common man in the street.
The PDP Anambra state is expected to continuously sensitise and educate the people against the lies and fallacies as currently propagated by the current APGA government and appointees.
Most importantly, the barefaced fact is that PDP Anambra state must quickly move into action in prelude to restoring hopes for Ndi Anambra as the 2021 GUBER election approaches.
