The Super Falcons of Nigeria are through to defend their continental crown after defeating Benin Republic 3-1 on aggregate in WAFCON qualifiers.
The ten-time African champions won 2-0 in Lome before a 1-1 draw in Abeokuta on Tuesday, where Ashleigh Plumptre netted her first-ever goal for Nigeria.

Benin Republic fought aggressively, hard, strong, and determined with 10 foreign-based players but Falcons’ class shone through-sealing their spot at the next year’s Women’s African Cup of Nations.
