The Court of Appeal in Abuja has overturned the ban that kept three heavyweight PDP members—Uche Secondus the Former National Party Chairman, the Former Rivers State Governor, Celestine Omehia, and Austin Opara—out of the party’s top meetings.
The trio had been sidelined by a Federal High Court ruling, but a three-judge panel unanimously scrapped that decision, saying it had no business meddling in party affairs.
The court emphasized that issues like who attends PDP’s NEC meetings are internal matters, not for judges to decide.
With this ruling, Secondus, Omehia, and Opara are back in the game, free to participate in all party activities.
