President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding a closed-door meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja with the governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governors, who met under the auspices of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), were led to the meeting by their Chairman, Kebbi State Governor Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
They arrived at the Presidential Villa following a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the President.
9news Nigeria learnt that the meeting was called to reach a consensus ahead of the ruling party’s National Convention on Saturday, following indications of disagreements among party stakeholders over the choice of personalities purportedly endorsed by the President.
