Reactions trial Fmr President Obasanjo’s quote that shamed Nigeria’s Government

By Onyenwe Princely

Former Nigerian Head-of-State and President, General Olusegun Obasanjo (rtd.) in an exclusive interview with BBC Correspondent Hilary Andersson, Thursday, June 25, 1998 described that wrong political leaders are the major problem that has bedeviled Nigeria.

But the irony of it is that while OBJ was president of same country he could not achieve his best to jettison corrupted leaders in his cabinet then.

Corruption was rated high then and till date none of his successors has brought the fight to a close.

Nigerians are asking if political leaders can change this tempo and better the great country Nigeria? While majority in the public range have concluded that all is over.

Below was Former Head of State, President Obasanjo’s quote.

“Now, who can tell you that he can reform the devil? If it was possible for God to reform, he would have reformed Satan. And if God cannot reform Satan, then anyone who thinks he can reform an evil man is deceiving himself. He himself will become evil.”
