Group Warns Against Further Harassment of Former Minister Over False Allegation

The Urhobo Progressive Agenda, UPA, has sternly warned activists and blackmailers to stop harassing the former Minister for Education, Barr Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi over false allegations.

The group’s leader, Comrade Onoriode Felix issued the warning on Wednesday, during a press briefing in Ughelli, Delta state
The reaction followed an avalanche of allegations pointing at the gubernatorial hopeful of Delta state, of arresting and striping naked four of his staff, working at his Signatious Hotel, Warri.

Comrade Onoriode condemned the allegations, labelling them as false, baseless as well as a cheap political weapon in the hands of those who seek political powers through back the door.

He expressed displeasure towards an obvious gang up against an innocent Deltan whose credentials intimidates his political rivals

For Two Weeks
Onoriode further advised the Nigerian Police to desist from taking sides with the accusers by making moves to arrest the proven legal luminary on the grounds of unproven allegations.

“I am afraid that there isn’t any evidence; there are just speculations and allegations as there is no proof that the concocted pictures were taken at the said hotel,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory has issued a refraining order to the Police Inspector-General from arresting Kenneth Gbagi until his fundamental human rights are determined.

The order followed a wanted declaration allegedly placed on the former minister by the Delta state Commissioner of Police, due to his refusal to honour a police invitations.
