The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD condemns the commando-style invasion and sealing off of Joy FM, Otukpo by officials of Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS).
Senator Moro describes the forceful closure of the station as an attempt to gag the press, an action he says is unacceptable in the 21st century.
The senator insists that media houses must be given the freedom to operate as long as they operate within the ambit of the law.
He identifies with management and staff of the radio station at this trying period and hopes the station will be unsealed without delays for them to continue to carry out their job of information dissemination.
