Today marked the 5TH day,since Benue Pensioners took to the streets of Benue especially at the Benue Peoples House formally the Benue State Government House to protest against the Benue State Government in respect of the government’s non-payement of their Pensions & Gratuities amounting to over 20 months.
Two days ago, His Excellency’ Gov Samuel Ortom addressed the protesters telling them that he will pay soon! Although, the pensioners rejected the offer saying,you have always promise but what happen?? We will not live nor sleep at home until we receive our pensions.
According to an online source UK Moni,reported this morning that one of the protesting pensioner collapsed before his very eyes as about three other protesting pensioners had already died,according to what the protesting Chairman told UK moni.
We appeal to the state government to do something fast and now,in other to advert further collapsed and possibly deaths.
