Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy and Colombian singer Shakira come together ahead of their electrifying performances on Sunday at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, thrilling football fans with star-studded entertainment showcase.
Sharing hearted moment during rehearsals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Burna Boy posted a video on X showing the pair smiling, laughing and embracing as preparations continue for the tournament’s first-ever halftime show at a World Cup final.

The Granny-winning singer also expressed excitement about performing alongside international popstar Shakira during the global football showpiece.
FIFA has confirmed Burna Boy and Shakira will headline the halftime performance with “Dai Dai”, the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The entertainment lineup is also expected to feature BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, Coldplay’s PS22 Chorus, as well as appearances by Sesame Street and The Muppets characters.
The halftime show is reportedly expected to run longer than the traditional 15-minute interval to accommodate the expanded entertainment programme.
Spain and Argentina will face off Sunday’s 2026 World Cup final, with millions of viewers all over the world expected to watch both the match and the landmark halftime performance.
Burna Boy and Shakira previously performed “Dai Dai” at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City, where official World Cup anthem was unveiled.
