A philanthropist and renowned human capacity developer High Chief Chukwuebuka Obiaso( Obi ego Na China) during the weekend took over 20 medical experts drown from different health professions to okofia community in Otolo Nnewi for a 2-Day free medical outreach.
Chief Obiaso who is well known in the community for his philanthropic lifestyle on 18th and 19th February 2022 in a special way brought trained medical experts who were in his community to run free health checkups and administer drugs worth millions of Naira to okofia indigenes.
This was carried out in collaboration with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Health Science Students’ Association.
Series of medical screening carried out include BMI,Blood sugar test,Hepatitis B&C, Ulcer tests,Malaria and RVS Test.
Trained medical doctors where present for consultancy while pharmacists administered drugs.
Speaking to the press during the 2 day medical check up, High Chief Chukwuebuka Obiaso said he is giving back to the community that raised him. He told the press that he is determined to ensuring that persons who can’t afford hospital procedures are taken care of. He insisted that it is very important that he provides the much he can to promote good healthy living for his community.
A representative of the community Hon. Amobi Okonkwo (Anunuebe Nnewi) appreciated the sponsor for bringing succor to those in medical need. He highlighted how the kind hearted businessman has at many times being a great benefactor to the Okofia community.
Members of the community who turned out in their numbers both old and young poured out prayers and praises for Hight Chief Obiaso. Madam Fidelia Okonkwo who received special health checkup told newsmen that she is happy to be remembered and prays God to replenish the sponsor. Another recipient Mrs Virginia Eze was filled with joy and expressed her sincere gratitude to Chief Obiaso. A member of the Obiego foundation and leader of the logistics team Mrs Zipora explained how the sponsor is concerned about the health of his people. She was pleased at the turn out of the masses and promised that it will be sustained yearly. She equally charged the recipients to continue to pray for the well being of Chief Obiaso’s family.
The free medical outreach ended with distribution of walking aides persons with special walking needs and heavy lunch to the participants.
