The open letter reads as thus:
Good Morning Sir.
My name is Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha. I am calling from the Office Of The Speaker, IMHA.
Please Call your officer, Inspector Moses, to Order. If care is not taken, I will put him into trouble.
Tell him to release an innocent alleged suspect, Mr Eze Emeka Chinemerem MacDonald, Who has been under illegal detention, since the past 9 Days. Your Office arrested and labelled him a Kidnapper, but after concerted reported Investigation, he was given a clean bill.
Rather than release him, Inspector Moses, who happens to be the Investigating Police Officer, IPO, decided to extort his relatives of various sums of money, Including N30,000 and five bags of cement, which is used for the ongoing renovation of your office block.
I called Inspector Moses on phone four days ago, to inquire about the illegally detained Eze Emeka Chinemerem MacDonald, but he criminally denied having such name in his custody. Yet he turned around to threaten the supposed suspect, Eze Emeka Chinemerem MacDonald, and his relatives, for reporting the matter to me. After which he continued to extort money from them
Please Commander Tiger Base, Imo State Police Command, use your good office and do the needful, by effecting the immediate release of Mr Eze Emeka Chinemerem MacDonald. I will not hesitate to formally inform the Commissioner Of Police if this is not done within the next 24 hrs, and I will surely involve the press.
