In the plenary before the Honourable members of IMHA, Deputy Minority Leader, and member representing Owerri Municipal state constituency, Rt Hon Clinton Amadi (Alaomajijiji) presented a ‘Motion- On- Adjournment’ wherein he brought to the notice of his fellow Honourable colleagues, the need to appreciate Imolites and congratulate His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma CON on the recent digital “Award of the Year” he brought back home to the state.
Speaking, Rt Hon Clinton Amadi noted that Imo has widened economic gap and diversify state economy through technology. He noted that the state has been upgraded on ICT status by this feat Gov Hope Uzodinma has established.
The motion reads this:
Motion to congratulate the Executive Governor of Imo State and Imo People on the award given to our Governor as the “Digital Governor Of The Year”
Whereas the Governor of Imo State won the glamorous National Information Technology Merit award organized by the National Computer Society in Lagos where key players and stakeholders in the ICT and digital space gathered to recognize those who have continued to impact the society leveraging information and communication.
Noting that the governor was nominated together with Governors from three other states Umar Namadi from Jigawa and Rev Hyacinth Aha from Benue state.
Noting further that the award is an endorsement of His excellency Governor hope Uzodinma unwavering commitment to leveraging the transformative power of technology in driving socio economic in Imo state/ Nigeria, believing that technology is not just a tool but a catalyst for reshaping industries, creating opportunities and empowering millions of imolites and Nigerians.
Commending out vibrant Imo technology community, developers, innovators and dreamers whose creativity and resilience have fueled the governor’s ambitions to position Imo state as Nigeria’s digital capital and innovative hub.
In furtherance, it was resolved by IMHA to once more say a big congratulations to the amiable digital knowledge skilled governor and nde Imo in general for this adorable and noble award to the entire Imo state via the governor.
It was also resolved that Honourable members IMHA encourage governor Uzodinma noting that, “Together we will keep building a future where technology is at the heart of sustainable development not only for Imo state but for the entire nation Nigeria, as Clinton Amadi stated.
The motion was chiefly sponsored by Rt Hon Clinton Amadi, member representing Owerri Municipal state constituency and Deputy Minority 10th Assembly IMHA alongside 8 other co-sponsors present at the plenary held Wednesday.
