No fewer than 22 people were injured in Gombe when a commercial bus driver lost control of his vehicle and struck several Christian faithful celebrating Christmas, Police confirm.
The Tumfure commuinity celebrants were en route to the Government House and Gombe Emir’s Palace for homage when the incident occurred.
The spokesperson for Gombe State Police, Buhari Abdullahi, states that the injured were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
No fatalities have been recorded and the Police have launched an investigation, with the Commissioner of Police tasking the Motor Traffic Department with a thorough probe.
