The FA’s Community Shield, formerly known as the Charity Shield enters its 96th year on Sunday and as ever, the brand new season’s curtain-raiser features last seasons Premier League champions and the 2017/18 FA Cup winners.

Penalties will decide which teams collect the first trophy of the season should the score remain level after 90 minutes. In other words, there will be no extra time.
It was six years ago when Chelsea and Manchester City last played in the Community Shield. The match took place at Villa Park in front of 36,394 supporters and on that occasion City won 3-2 (City goals – Yaya, Tevez, and Nasri).
