Imo governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma paid an official visit to Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ohaji Egbema Imo state few moments ago.
According to Uzodinma, the high level of skills and expertise deployed at the Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ohaji /Egbema is commendable. It is a dream come true, that local content has become a success story in our time.
I congratulate the management and staff of Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited for this laudable initiative. The Government and people of Imo State are happy to be associated with this feat.
According to Abdul Razaq Isah, Chairman of Walter Smith Modular Refinery, the essence of the Modular Refinery project is to enhance energy security and cordination for the Nation.
I am happy that Crude Oil will be refined here to produce various by-products, putting in place a double check which will not only stimulate the economy of Imo State but also that of Nigeria.
Walter Smith Modular Refinery is a good example of the reintegration of resources. Raw materials will no longer be exported, but transformed to finished products, thereby adding value to the State and the Nation at large.
Meanwhile, this gesture according to Imo people is a prove that Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State has come to change the narrative of governance in Imo state.
