*The Director-General/CEO of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, hosted Mr. Donald Okonkwo, Principal of Springtide International Junior School, Kurudu, Abuja, along with his students at the Commission’s headquarters this afternoon.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the students to gain insight into the Commission’s initiatives and projects. Dr. Abdullahi expressed his gratitude for their interest in energy development. During the visit, Dr. Abdullahi educated the students on the ECN’s role in promoting renewable energy, biofuel and biogas production, solar panel manufacturing, energy sustainability, and climate change policy.
The students were also taken on a tour of the Commission’s premises, where they observed firsthand some of its key projects.
This hands-on experience served as a practical learning opportunity, deepening their understanding of the Commission’s efforts to advance Nigeria’s energy sector.
Mr. Donald Okonkwo appreciated Dr. Abdullahi and the Commission for the opportunity, acknowledging the experience as invaluable for the students.
