Dora Kayode opens up, threatens legal action against Husband over ‘false’ claims

Estranged wife of Nigerian footballer, Dora Kayode has opened up on allegations leveled against her by husband, Kayode Olanrewanju.

Initially, the football star made headlines when he accused his wife of infidelity and paternity fraud after discovering his wife extra-marital affairs with popular Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.

Subsequently, Dora has now refuted claims suggesting that the Nigerian international is not the biological father of their three children.

According to recent reports, Kayode conducted a DNA test, which revealed that the children weren’t his, suggesting that they are indeed results of her, Dora, infidelity.

However, in her response, Dora, in an official statement addressed her husband, insisting that such allegations are false and a ploy to damage her reputation thereby hurting the children.

“No DNA test has ever been carried out on any of the children, as you well know. However, our client is willing and ready for such a test to be immediately conducted by a reputable and neutral instituition or facility if you so desire”. The statement read.

Furthermore, Dora also stated that this claims had affected the children dearly, demanding that Kayode, within 24 hours, issue a public disclaimer stating that no such DNA test was ever conducted on the children.

“Failure to comply with this demand will leave our client with no choice but to notify the Court and seek full custody of the children in the ongoing divorce proceedings. We trust that you will act swiftly and responsibly to rectify this egregious situation.” The statement ends.

Earlier this year, 2024, Kayode had threatened to commit suicide following the discovery of his wife’s infidelity to him. He further claimed that she swindled him, claiming a false age before their union.

This follows a series of divorce cases in the sports world.

Various reports have suggested the trend of sport stars and athletes being defrauded by their wives/partners, citing a move to take hold of assets and child custody, which would result in child support funds being paid for by the Athletes.
