Dr. Sa’idn Alkali Kori, the chairman and group CEO of Thinklab Group Limited, has been appointed as a technical adviser by Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum (LCBGF), a sub-African regional organization comprising states from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
This was following another appointment by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, who also doubles as LCBGF’s chairman, to serve as honorary special adviser to the state government on international relations and development.
The appointment was announced yesterday Wednesday in a statement.
According to Governor Buni, Dr. Kori’s appointment to the regional body is in recognition of his wide international network and leadership, noting that his capacity would enhance engagement with partners and accelerate progress in the forum’s activities and foster development in the region.
Dr. Kori holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from FUT Yola, a master’s from the University of Salford, and a doctorate from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Also a former General Manager at Family Home Funds, Kori is an experienced teacher who lectures at the University of Liverpool and Yobe State University.
He has worked in many countries and holds board positions in multinational corporations like BIM Africa and Fulus Capital.
On his appointment by Yobe State, the secretary to the state government, Baba Mallam Wali, said in a statement that Dr. Kori’s appointment was in recognition of his past record of performance and dedication to duty.
Similarly, the press secretary to the SSG, noted in a separate statement that Dr. Kori’s past performance, dedication, and personal commitment to the development of Yobe State made him worthy of the appointment.
