Easiest way to link your NIN to network providers, MTN 9Mobile, Airtel, Glo

Weeks ago, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) through the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) had directed that all Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards in Nigeria be linked to National Identification Number (NIN). This directive affected all telecommunication companies in Nigeria.

Easiest way to link your NIN to MTN, 9mobile, Airtel and Glo

With this directive, all network providers came up with their respective process on how to link subscribers’ SIM to their NIN

The deadline set for the linking or registration is on February 9, 2021, hence subscribers have to comply with these directives less they have their phone line(s) blocked after the deadline.

Below are simple steps on how to link your SIM to your NIN

  1. MTN

To link your NIN to your MTN SIM simply dial *785# or text your NIN to 785. You can as well visit https://nin.mtnonline.com/

  1. 9MOBILE

Follow this teps to link your NIN to your 9mobile SIM; Dial 2008# or visit www.9mobile.com.ng/nin

  1. AIRTEL

To link your Airtel SIM to NIN follow this steps: Dial 1211# or *121# or visit https://www.airtel.com.ng/nin/

  1. GLO

Follow this steps to link your Glo SIM to your NIN: Dial 109yourNIN# or text your NIN to 109. You can as well visit https://www.gloworld.com/ng/nin/

  1. To retrieve your NIN on any SIM card, dial *346#
  2. All the service(s) are FOC (Free Of Charge)
