Trouble Looms As 192 PDP Ward Chairmen Demand Balance Of 5M Each Before Saturday Polls.

In what seems like another drama playing out the 192 PDP ward chairmen have demanded the balance payment of 5 Million naira promised them by Gov Godwin Obaseki.

Recall we brought you an exclusive report on the 192 PDP ward chairmen demanding 10 Million naira each for mobilization.

The demand for the funds came at the heels of Obaseki’s cross over to the PDP.

This particular fund has been a source of controversy in the PDP as it was alleged the initial amount was made available for the ward chairmen but Dan Orbih and the NWC of the PDP refused to disburse the funds to the ward chairmen.

After a protracted flexing of muscles between the ward chairmen and the NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP a truce was finally reached with Obaseki releasing the sum of 5 Million each to the 192 ward chairmen pleading with them to take it as a sacrifice they paid for his reelection.

As at the time Obaseki made the amount available in cash to the ward chairmen they agreed to abide by the agreement.

But in what can be said to be a case of Oliver Twist the ward chairmen are demanding the balance payment of 5 Million Naira before the SATURDAY polls or else no election.

According to them it is a clear case of monkey dey work Baboon dey chop, they accuse Obaseki of spending huge resources on other party stalwarts that are said to be siddon look tax collectors.

The ward chairmen are spoiling for war already.

Obaseki has been accused by Edo residents of splashing over 20 billion on the PDP to secure its ticket
