Fresh details have emerged on the tragic death of Arise News anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, who passed away under distressing circumstances after an armed robbery at her residence.
Her colleague, Ojy Okpe, revealed on air that Maduagwu jumped from her home after receiving information that about 14 armed robbers had invaded her house.
Contrary to initial assumptions, she did not die instantly.

The shocking revelation has stirred outrage, with many questioning the handling of her medical emergency and the circumstances that led to her rejection at the hospital.
Tributes have since poured in from colleagues and friends of Maduagwu, who was celebrated for her professionalism, charisma and profile in broadcast journalism.
Her death, however, signifies growing concerns over insecurity and the recurring reports of hospitals turning away emergency patients in Nigeria.
