Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of a historic transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, in a deal that could place him among the top-paid footballers in the world.
According to reports, Al Hilal have tabled a €70 million (approximately ₦112 billion) offer to Napoli for the 26-year-old forward.
While the bid falls slightly short of his €75 million (₦120 billion) release clause, negotiations have gone through as Napoli seriously considered the offer.
Osimhen has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Al Hilal, with a staggering net salary estimated between €30 million and €35 million per year.
This translates to ₦48 billion to ₦56 billion annually, or roughly ₦4 billion to ₦4.6 billion per month, after tax.
Once the deal is completed, Osimhen will be on a four-year contract running until 2029, making him one of the highest-earning athletes on the continent.
