IMO: The Ihiagwa/Nekede people have expressed sadness over the condition of the only major link road that connected Naze, Nekede, Ihiagwa and Obinze across Owerri/ PortHarcourt road in Imo State.
There is no doubt, the road has remained a dangerous scene of heartbreak and the people are extremely unhappy and bewildered because of the delay and low speed of work by the construction company handling the project.
The road was reported several times by Newsmen targetted at attracting government attention to steadily engage on supervision to remobilize and fund the construction company handling the project to speed up and complete the road fastly.
Peddlers of fake news across the globe have also presented all sorts of bad stories portraying the government in bad light without due investigation of the stage of construction going on.
9News Nigeria authoritatively report that the government of Imo state under His Excellency Hope Uzodinma has invested a whooping sum of fund in making sure that the road is solidly completed.
The construction company handling the project has assured Imolites mostly those living and transacting business in the area of solid construction of both the bridge, drainage and asphalting of the road to the benefit of the crowds of voters residing in the area.
Leo-9 construction company has maintained company Standard on the construction of the road, drainage and Ihiagwa bridge as 9News Nigeria reports.
At the time of filling this message by 9News, drainage work is ongoing alongside some finishing touches on the bridge as told by the company engineers.
The engineers we met at project site this Monday morning to confirm the exact stage of work done told our correspondent before this year runs off, the people will have good reason to have Hope Uzodinma as Governor.
Hope Uzodinma is a Governor whose eye goes round the entire project embarked upon under the watch of shared prosperity government.
This particular road embarked upon houses alot of government institutions and federal institutions and huge voters in the area and this is why Governor Uzodinma is seriously interested on it’s completion and commissioning.

The contractors also told us that there will be another coating of ASPHALT across the already completed areas along the road to give it a solid base when completed.
Interviewing some critical stakeholders in the area including some traditional rulers, Our correspondent gathered that their expression of happiness behove on the completion of the road.
The people have commended Governor Uzodinma for such a wonderful work going on in their area while thanking the member representing Owerri West , Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi for push he is giving the work through the ministry of works and relevant agencies in Imo state.
The road is under serious construction even at this time when the rain is much not minding the curiosity of construction work.
9News reports that the road construction has stopped sometime ago within Nekede Police Divisional Headquarters from Naze axis while the construction of bridge domiciled in Ihiagwa has continued to near completion stage.

At a call to the Honourable member representing Owerri West who doubles as a back-to-back Majority Leader in the IMHA, by our correspondent in Owerri, Rt. Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi prayed that God will strengthen Gov. Hope Uzodinma and grant him the wisdom needed to keep driving infrastructures and economic growth in the State including the solid work on the Ihiagwa Nekede road, drainage and bridge construction.
The Majority Leader Onyemaechi also hinted that at completion of the road , alot will be saved of motorists, business Marchants, students, government workers and residents in the areas who have several years suffered on the bad condition of this road.
He added that he feels the same pain the masses are feeling on this road because he always ply the road via his grassrooting and oversight functions.
While Praising the Darling Governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodinma, the Owerri West Legislator and sub- Committee Chairman on lands and OCDA told his constituents to patiently allow the shared prosperity government finish the work they have come to do to make Imo people happy.
He finally thanked Governor Uzodinma for rising up to attend to the immediate demands of Ndi Imo mostly on the construction of Naze/Fedponek-Nekede/Ihiagwa / Obinze major road alongside some others captured in his infrastructural and economical growth to ameliorate the sufferings of Imolites, motorists and road users in the area.
