Mariam Ogochi Emenike who posed as a gynecologist at Echoes of God’s Mercy & Grace Mission Hospital in Umuahia, Abia State, has been exposed as an impostor.
Investigation revealed she presented fake medical credentials from Imo State University (IMSU) and lacked a valid medical license.
Her incompetence allegedly led to a miscarriage and patient’s death, prompting concerns among medical staff. Shockingly instead of been dismissed, she was promoted to Chief Medical Director, CMD, leading to the mass resignation of doctors.
Following a petition, the medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) confirmed she was not a registered practitioner.
Emenike has now been charged with forgery and impersonation, with her case before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
