FIFA approves Nationality switch for 22-year-old goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo to play for Super Eagles

the Nationality switch of former England youth team goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo has been approved by World football governing body (FIFA) making him eligible to represent Nigeria for the senior national team, the Super Eagles.

The 22- year -old Okonkwo who is presently on loan to Wrexham from Arsenal applied for a switch of Nationality to Nigeria from England where he played in a junior youth team.

The goalkeeper represented England junior team internationally, playing a total of 11 games from U15 to when he had his last cap for U18 in 2018.

In Wrexham, a third division side, he has kept goals in 26 games in all competitions and has 11 clean sheets, while conceeding just 26 goals in the process last season

He also had a fairly time with Austrian side SturmCraz with six clean sheets in 18 games.
