A former speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Nasiru Abubakar Nono, has been confirmed dead in an auto crash on thursday, along Abuja-Keffi Expressway.
According to Buba Shanu, Former State Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), the late speaker, Nono was travelling with the former House of Assembly member, Hon. Haruna Fada when the accident occurred.
“He (Nono) died in a motor accident along Abuja- Keffi Expressway. He was traveling with Hon. Haruna Fada, Former House of Assembly member who survived and is currently receiving treatment”, Shanu said.
