Four Police Officers to face disciplinary action for extorting, assaulting FuLafia student in Nasarawa

Four Police Officers of the Nasarawa Police Command will face disciplinary action for extorting and assaulting a student of the Federal University of Lafia, FuLafia, George Agera.

Agera had lodged a complaint over the incident on Wednesday which was acted upon promptly by the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel.

The incident occurred on Tuesday August 20, 2024 in Gandu, an off-campus area harbouring students of FuLafia.

According to reports, the sum of N37,500 extorted from has been recovered and handed over to the victim at the state’s Police Headquarters in Lafia on Thursday.

The erring officers are undergoing an internal investigation and will be held accountable for their actions, sources confirmed.
